#1. 11.5" EDC Pistol I
Most people do not put the term EDC (every day carry) next to a rifle, but here at DVA, we believe in rolling heavy every day, and bringing a rifle if you can. This build started our as a PSA 11.5 build kit for $500, and it has evolved dramatically over its 12,000+ round count.

#2. 13.7" GPR
For clarity, GPR stands for General Purpose Rifle. Everyone has an opinion on what a GPR is, but this is how we define it: a rifle that can perform well in every role needed for the individual. This is a “Go to War” build for someone who lives in the woods of Louisiana. 400 yard shots are the furthest reasonable engagement distances we need, which a 13.7″ barrel will perform exceptionally well at with the right ammo. That is also the shortest barrel that you can pin and weld a muzzle device on, so you can put a stock on it without any paperwork or hassle.

#3. 20" IAR
IAR or infantry automatic rifle is a weapon system designed to sustain high rates of fire. Some branches of the US Military like the Marine Corps have moved away from heavy belt-feds to rifles like the HK M27 IAR to keep the weight of the soldiers’ rifles down. In the civilian world, we are reduced to overbuilt ARs with FRTs, like this build here. With some D60 mags, these rifles can be used for suppressive fire effectively, and still function well as a normal rifle
Here is the build list:

This rifle is set up for the same purpose, but the 14.5″ barrel length provides more variety of muzzle devices to choose from, like this Cat QD system. This 14.5″ GPR is built to last and perform exceptionally in any role you put it in.

#6. 18" Thermal Rifle
For hunting or fighting at night, you need a rifle with a dedicated thermal optic. There are fantastic clip-on options out there, but they are expensive, take up tons of rail space, and can make a rifle setup very heavy. This rifle is set up for optimal foot pounds of energy on target, while maintaining ammo commonality and the lowest signature possible. This is also one of the most pleasant rifles to shoot, and it is very accurate and deadly. We have hunted tons of hogs and coyotes with this rifle, making accurate hits out to 300 yards with ease.

#7. 10.5" 300BLK PDW
Looking for a quiet rifle for home defense or hog hunting? 300 blackout is the way to go. Going outside of the norm with a 10.5″ barrel, this rifle can run subsonic rounds unbelievably quiet, but can still achieve fantastic muzzle energy with supersonic rounds. With the Shield Arms Folding Lower, this build can fold into a backpack with ease. Side note: running a suppressed 300BLK with a super safety will put a smile on your face every time.

#8. 18" 5.56 SPR
The 5.56 performs at its best through a longer barrel, and we have found the 18″ length to be very effective down range. Perfect for “stretching the legs” of 5.56, this rifle makes 600-yard hits with ease, and packs a ridiculous punch 300 yards and in. We have dropped 200lb hogs and 8-point bucks with these rifles, and have also been able to smoke coyotes at 300 yards with no problem. The biggest advantage of running a 5.56 like this is ammo commonality, which is crucial for keeping this rifle up and firing. We cannot recommend a rifle like this in your gun safe enough.

- B5 grip
- Geissele SSA-E Trigger
#9. M4a1 GWOT Block I Clone
For the guys who love those 2010 GWOT vibes, or who grew up playing Call of Duty, this one is for you. Everything on this rifle, except for the Artius FRT and the BCM intermediate buffer system, dates back to 2001-2010. Not all of the parts are textbook clone correct depending on who you ask, but there were traces of soldiers using each one of these parts during that era. This build looks great, and runs just the same. We have ran this build hard with the Atrius Super Selector and it is exactly what you dreamed about when you were playing MW2 as a kid.

#10. Glock 19X EDC
The Glock 19X and Glock 45 fills a role for those who want to carry a full-sized compensated handgun, in a reasonable form factor. This particular 19X has 10,000 plus rounds on it, and it has never skipped a beat. If you can add the benefit of less recoil in a fighting pistol, why wouldn’t you take advantage of that? The genesis of Deus Vult’s Glock Trigger Performance Package began with this build, and has moved into all of our duty Glocks. This build has been carried and trained with so much, it has burned through 3 big-name IWB holsters, and is working on its 4th.
Here is the build list:
- Glock 19X Milled for the RMR Footprint
- Holosun 507 Comp Ronin
- Streamlight TLR1-HL FDE

#11. Glock 19 EDC
Looking for a compact that punches way above its weight class? This Gen 5 Glock 19 is a fantastic alternative to a full-sized pistol like a 17 or a comped 19X. For most people, this is a perfect sized EDC, and it is still comped, has a great optic, solid weapon light, and is very competitive in shooting performance. This particular 19 has well over 15,000 rounds on it, further proving that these pistols run exactly how they are supposed to.
Here is the build list:
- Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS
