Terms And Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Deus Vult Defense (“we,” “us,” or “our”) to you (“Customer” or “you”). By submitting a firearm or requesting services, you agree to these Terms. We recommend consulting with a legal professional to customize these for your specific jurisdiction, as this is a general template and not legal advice. These Terms are effective as of 03/15/2026 and may be updated periodically.
1. Services and Scope of Work
- We provide gunsmithing services including repairs, modifications, customizations, refinishing, and installations as detailed in the work order.
- All work is performed based on the specifications provided in the written work order. Any changes must be approved in writing and may incur additional fees.
- Estimated turnaround times are provided but not guaranteed due to workload, parts availability, or unforeseen issues. We will notify you of any delays.
2. Customer Responsibilities and Representations
- You represent that you are at least 18 years old (or 21 for handguns where required by law) and legally authorized to own and possess the firearm(s) submitted.
- You affirm that the firearm is legally owned by you and not stolen, prohibited, or modified in violation of federal, state, or local laws (e.g., ATF regulations).
- You must provide accurate contact information and a detailed description of the requested work.
- You acknowledge the inherent risks involved in gunsmithing, including potential damage to the firearm, malfunction, or personal injury from use. You voluntarily accept these risks.
- Firearms must be unloaded and safely packaged when shipped or dropped off. We are not responsible for ammunition or accessories unless specified.
3. Payments, Deposits, and Fees
- We do not accept payments prior to work due to time variations between projects.
- Full payment is due upon completion and before return of the firearm. We accept Credit, Checks, or Cash.
- Prices are subject to change based on actual labor, parts, or additional work approved by you. Unpaid balances may accrue storage fees
- Minimum shop charge per work order is $40. Diagnostic fees apply even if no work can be performed
4. Shipping and Returns
- You may ship firearms directly to us for service per federal law; no FFL transfer is required for repairs/modifications, but return shipping will comply with ATF rules (e.g., to your address or an FFL if needed).
- Shipping costs are your responsibility both ways. We recommend insured, trackable methods (e.g., UPS/FedEx) and will not be liable for loss or damage in transit.
- Returned firearms must be signed for by an adult; we will not leave packages unattended.
- All shipments must include a copy of your ID, work order details, and return address.
- Shipments are only accepted during open business days (Monday through Friday). Please provide us with a tracking number via email if possible.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
- We warrant our workmanship against defects in materials or labor under normal use.
- Warranties do not cover misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. Firearm manufacturer warranties may be voided by our work; check with the manufacturer.
- Parts warranties are limited to the manufacturer’s terms. We make no express or implied warranties beyond those stated.
- Any warranty claims must be submitted in writing with proof of service. Remedies are limited to repair or replacement at our discretion.
6. Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our services, including but not limited to loss of life, personal injury, or property damage.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service.
- You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages resulting from your firearm’s use, your breach of these Terms, or any third-party claims.
- We are not responsible for the safety or functionality of the firearm after it leaves our possession.
7. Abandonment of Property
- Firearms not picked up or paid for within 30 days of completion notification will be considered abandoned and may be sold to recover costs, per applicable state laws.
- We will attempt to contact you via provided information before deeming property abandoned, and reserve the right to resell firearm at our discretion 30 days after the completion notification.
8. Compliance with Laws
- All services comply with federal (e.g., ATF, NFA) and state firearm laws. We reserve the right to refuse service if we suspect illegality.
- You are responsible for ensuring your firearm complies with laws in your jurisdiction upon return.
- Forced Reset Triggers (FRT’s) are illegal in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington (with the District of Columbia also prohibiting them under similar restrictions). We will not do any work with FRT’s for customers residing in any of those states.
9. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Louisiana without regard to conflict of laws principles.
- Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Ouachita Parish or in small claims court if applicable.
- If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect.
10. Miscellaneous
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement and supersede prior understandings.
- We may amend these Terms at any time; continued use of services constitutes acceptance.
